About Matt
Whether performing for a wedding reception, Sunday church service, or hipster coffee shop crowd, I believe music should make people feel connected. Every performance is an opportunity to create an atmosphere that feels magical, effortless, and fully alive.
As a pianist and live music entertainer, I bring both of professionalism and adaptability to all performances. From mellow jazz and ambient piano, to upbeat singalongs and live karaoke, I’ll tailor each performance towards the mood of the room and the people in it.
Over the years, I’ve learned that the greatest musical performances are not always the loudest or complex — they’re moments when everything becomes quiet and something magically clicks. So, my goal is simple: I’ll do everything to provide the musical tapestry to your celebration that feels joyful, personal, and unforgettable.
The expression I wear when someone requests a standard I've never heard of.

In the last ten years I’ve discovered on my journey through music so much out there that at times I feel I am a time traveler and that my job is to ensure the next generation knows or at least gets a chance to hear or experience truly what has been made, tested, and perfected.
The piano itself can be viewed as the most versatile of all instruments but also the least expressive. It is the composer’s instrument, with every pitch available. Whether or not I realized it or not as a child, the pianist has the job of an orchestral director, which makes it incredibly difficult to master

I started law school at approximately the same time I became serious about becoming a pianist.
Of the classes I’ve taken, the ones in Copyright and Entertainment Law were of particular interest to me, as a musician, photographer, and business owner.
My education in law wraps up in 2027, and I look forward to becoming a licensed attorney as well as a regularly performing pianist for private events.

This is a very difficult question but the practical answer is a lot: I’ve studied Classical from the age of six to 17, then ventured into Jazz after college, and found that every month since the beginning of 2024 has been in some way an unpacking of a new genre of music.
For instance, in January of 2026 I was requested to performed the piano for a live funk band in Carlsbad. Shortly after that, I played for a generic Pop bands, and also a 1970s psychedelic rock band.
I also enjoy writing my own transcriptions of Pop music. There are many transcriptions out there, but exceptional recordings do not necessarily have exception transcription.

That is true. The studio came to life actually as the pandemic was ending. Some good fortune helped push the brand up to the front of the internet.
As of this year, my trips have become more sporadic, though I plan to never abandon a presence there and will make time for clients, whether old clients or new parties. I have a small presence in San Diego, but focus most of my energy towards music and live entertainment as a career.
